Sonny is from a small town in East Texas and is about to graduate from Baylor University with a BFA in theatre performance. After finding theatre he discovered that this was the greatest possible way to fulfill his life goal of making people happy. He has been seen leading important new works such as The Thanksgiving Play, where he played Jaxton, and The Grown-Ups, as Lukas. Sonny has also done work with Michael John LaChiusa, and Bill Rauch in An American Eclipse. To kick off 2025 Sonny spent 2 weeks in India devising a piece with Pulitzer Prize nominee, and Obie Award winning director/writer Dael Orlandersmith. After graduating in May Sonny will be moving to New York City to continue to pursue his dreams and "make his momma proud" doing work in theatre and film.
